Amritsar , Oct. 22 (Manjit Kaur) – Diwali is the festival of lights and these lights are good when emitted from Diyas, Candles and from others decorated earthen pots. But when the crackers emit light, it is just a joy for few seconds but a threat for the future. These crackers cause pollution. To make people aware of it, a campaign about safe Diwali was launched Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Friends Avenue Airport Road. The students of all classes decorate their classes by making greeting cards, decorated candles, Diyas & Rangoli. Madam Principal Ravinder Kaur Bumra wished happy and congratulated all of them in her address. She said celebrate Diwali in an eco-friendly way. Don’t burn crackers because it is the main threat to environment. To give this message a rally was carried out under her leadership. The students carried out posters, slogans to convey this message in all colonies near. ‘Say No to Crackers’, celebrate safe Diwali No Chines crackers. The students played school band which sounded melodious. The students did march past. The students were full of enthusiasm. All the staff members & Principal Madam Ravinder Kaur Bumra were also full of zest & zeal. They were raising slogans in high pitch. Some slogans have the unique message in her speech. She said Burning crackers is the main threat to the environment. Burning crackers is like burning money. Diwali should be smokeless & pollution free. We should ban the crackers instead of banging them crackers cause many health hazards like cough asthma. She inspired the students to do some good work and by helping others.
