Amritsar, November 11 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Sahodaya Annual Felicitation Ceremony for excelling Principals,
teachers and students was organized at SGHPS GT Road Amritsar. Due to unprecedented times of COVID-19, a formal Teacher’s Day and Children’s Day celebration could not be conducted. So a small programme of Sahodaya Schools Complex Amritsar was held wherein the agenda was reopening of schools and updation of Sahodaya Website and the publication of ‘Information Bulletin’ 2021.The program was conducted by strictly following the guidelines given by the Government of India regarding COVID-19. Dr. Neera Sharma former Principal DAV Public School Lawrence Road Amritsar and Former Advisor was the chief guest on this prestigious occasion .She was given a floral welcome by the office bearers of Sahodaya Schools complex.
The programme began with the formal welcome address by Dr. Dharamveer Singh Chairman Sahodaya Schools Complex. He discussed the purpose of the meeting and said that these Awards are motivational tools for the teachers. Keeping up with the tradition of honouring Principals and teachers on this momentous occasion , 5 Principals namely Ms. Guneeta Grewal Principal Excelsum High School Amritsar, Ms Sucheta Jasrai Principal Path seekers School Dera Beas , S. Gurpreet Singh Principal Modern High School Amritsar , Ms. Maninder Kaur Principal SGHPS Rasulpur Kalan Amritsar & Ms. BinduBhalla Principal R.D. Khosla DAV School Batala were honoured with Sahodaya Award of excellence 2020 by Chairman Dr. Dharam Veer Singh, Dr. Anita Bhalla, Secretary, Mr. Rajiv Sharama, Advisor, Mrs. Urminder Kaur, Coordinator, Mrs. Vinodita Sankhayan. The best teacher award and Gem of Sahodaya Award was handed over to the Principals which would be given later to the teachers and students in their respective schools. Dr. Neera Sharma was also honoured on this occasion by the office bearers of Amritsar Sahodaya Schools for her immense contribution and stellar achievements in the field of education. Near about 80 Principals from different CBSE Schools were also present on this occasion.
