DC asks the revenue officials to speed up the Recovery process

Also orders to dispose of the pendency in revenue courts

Kapurthala, November 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Deputy commissioner Kapurthala Deepti Uppal has asked the revenue officials to sleep up the process of recovery to avoid any kind of revenue loss in the state’s finances.

               Today in a meeting with the officials from revenue department to review the progress of revenue department the Deputy Commissioner said that the pending recovery in all cases must be disposed off in next one month. She said that will full defaulters would be dealt with iron hands and the officials must ensure the zero pendency in recovery cases.

                    Talking about the RCMS, the Deputy Commissioner said that as the Punjab Government has already allowed to full operation for revenue courts across the state, the revenue officials must speed up the hearing of cases. She also said that the officials must have meetings with advocates to join the courts for hearings to clear the pendency. It may be mentioned here that the district have 333 pending cases in revenue courts.

                Taking the serious note of pendency of Demarcation cases pending since 2018, Deputy Commissioner has made it clear that these kind of cases must be redressed well in 20 days.

              Prominent amongst present in the meeting included ADC (G) Rahul chabha, SDM Kapurthala Varinderpal singh bajwa, SDM sultanpur Dr Charumita, SDM Bholath T.Benith, SDM Phagwara Pavitar singh, DRO Paramjit singh  sahota and tehsildars and Naib tehsildars from the district.
