NCP and Hajara Foundation Trust organises Blood Donation Camp

Mumbai, December 2 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Considering an ongoing countrywide COVID-19 pandemic, a blood donation and plasma donation camp was jointly organised by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Hajara Foundation Trust, Mahatma Gandhi Seva Mandir Blood Bank, NCP’s North West Mumbai District President Sultan Salim Baig, NCP Andheri District Graduate Cell President Asif Shaikh, Andheri Taluka President Sameer Shaikh and NCP Mumbai General Secretary Sudip Pandey at Navbharat Society Andheri Mumbai. In the camp, nearly 300 blood units were collected for which organisers thanked all blood donors.

Asif Shaikh said that the blood does not carry the mark of the donor’s religion, caste or his/her background. Three lives can be saved or improved with every unit of blood. Every year several surgeries are carried out world over, which include blood transfusion and related treatment.

Sultan Salim Baig and Asif Shaikh appealed people to donate blood regularly to save precious lives of the needy patients. If anyone returns after 14 days quarantine and donates the plasma then other patients can be cured. Sudip Pandey encouraged his fans to come forward to donate blood and help affected people.
