Swarnim Vijay Mashaal reaches Burj-Fatehpur

Amritsar, March 12 (Punjab Post Bureau) –    Today, the Swarnim Vijay Mashaal was accorded a grand reception at the site of the Battle of Fatehpur-Burj by the War Veterans, Veer Naris, BSF personnel, NCC cadets, school children, locals and civil dignitaries.

            The Mashaal was received at Fatehpur BOP by Commander Ravi Brigade.  Thereafter the events included paying of homage to the martyrs at the war memorial followed by felicitations of War Veterans, Veer Naris and civilian war participants by Commander Ravi Brigade.

            A cultural event on the patriotic theme was performed by the local school children. War Veterans recounted the events of the battle of Fatehpur-Burj to the audience which received thunderous applause. Soil from the battleground of Fatehpur-Burj was also collected for National War Memorial.Thereafter, the Mashaal proceeded on its onward journey towards the epic battlefields of Dera Baba Nanak.
