GNDU organized Dialogue with Alumni

Amritsar, March 17(Punjab Post Bureau) – The department of Electronics Technology, Guru Nanak Dev University, organized an event on the theme ‘Dialogue with Alumni’. The event was organized under the dynamic leadership of worthy Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu.

            Prof. Shalini Bahel, Head of department welcomed the guests and introduced about the theme of the event. Prof. Atul Khanna (Dean Alumni Association) addressed the audience and elobrated role of alumni chapter in the university.He said the main idea is to motivate the present students and to make them aware that some very challenging  opportunities await them all over the world. The demand for bright students is more than the supply. Under this event, three prominent alumni of department of Electronics – Mr. Maninder Singh Sood( Batch 1987-91), Executive VP at Shriram Life Insurance; Miss Gurleen Kaur (Batch 2010-14), Postdoctoral research fellow, Institute of Photovoltaics Ile de France; and Mr. Gagandeep Singh (2004-2008), Senior ASIC/ FPGA verification engineer at Ericsson, Canada, participated and interacted with the students. The alumni narrated their own placement experiences and guided the students on how to prepare for a successful corporate journey. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Ravinder Kumar (Teacher incharge Department Alumni Chapter) who thanked the alumni for participating in the event and sharing their valuable knowledge. Further, he informed that this is the first event in the series of similar events that will be organized in the future.
