Sodium hypochlorite spray continues in mandis to contain the spread of covid

 Kapurthala, April 4 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Kapurthala district is fully geared up for smooth procurement of wheat from April 10. Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Deepti Uppal said that in Kapurthala district 42 permanent mandis and sub mandis is ready for procurement besides setting up temporary mandis to facilitate the farmers and laboures in view of covid.

                She said that arrangements have been made for cleaning of mandis, drinking water and electricity, while hand free washing stations would also be set up at each mandi to save the farmers, artisans and laborers from corona.

                Meanwhile, District Mandi Officer Arvinder Singh said that Mandi Board, Punjab would provide sanitizers and masks to the farmers and laborers. In addition, sodium hypochlorite is being sprayed in all the mandis to control the spread of corona.
