Members of Gurdwara Paonta Sahib elected unanimously
Paonta Sahib/ Amritsar, July 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) – SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur today inaugurated Sri Guru Gobind Singh NRI (Non-Resident Indian) Sarai (Inn) at Gurdwara Sri Paonta Sahib Himachal Pradesh.
Bibi Jagir Kaur held a special meeting with the local officials of Gurdwara management. During the meeting of Gurdwara Paonta Sahib management Committee all the members was elected unanimously. SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur approved many agendas during the meeting.The local Sikh sangat (devotees) especially reached at Gurdwara to honour Bibi Jagir Kaur and apprised the SGPC president about the problems they are facing.
Speaking on the occasion Bibi Jagir Kaur said that all the modern amenities are present in Guru Gobind Singh NRI Sarai. Special programs will also be held at Gurdwara Sri Paonta Sahib dedicated to 100th Prakash Purb (birth anniversary) of Sri Guru Teg Bahadar Ji. During the three-day event special functions will be organised like Dhadi Darbar (court of balladeers), Kavi Darbar (court of poets), and Katha Vichar (views and lessons Gurbani).
Three members Harpreet Singh Hoshiarpur, Mohkam Singh Paonta Sahib and Jaspal Singh of Gurdwara Sri Paonta Sahib Committee were elected unanimously. The meeting was chaired by SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur.
The present on the pccasion includes SGPC chief secretary Harjinder Singh Dhami, Jathedar Harbhajan Singh vice-president Gurdwara Paonta Sahib Committee, Jathedar Baba Nihal Singh Harian Velanwale, Joga Singh, Baba Nagar Singh, Harpreet Singh, Karambir Singh, OSD to SGPC president Dr. Sukhbir Singh and manager Jagir Singh.
