Tarn Taran, Nov. 16 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Conference is concluded today after the splendorous beginning of 65th World Sikh Education Conference on 14th November with inauguration of Exhibition of Books, Environment and Organic Farming, Sikh Art and Artefacts by S. Ranjit Singh Brahmpura(Member of Parliament) and Huge Kirtan Darbar. 2nd day of the Conference i.e. 15th November included the grand ceremonial proceedings of The Nagar Kirtan. Seminars on Sikh Educational Institutions (Status & Direction), Drugs Free Punjab, Sikh Educational Institutions based in abroad, environment and Organic Farming were conducted at CKD Institute of Management & Technology. In the cultural night on 15th November 2014 various Items were performed to promote The Punjabi Virsa. The Premises of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Tarn Taran was shimmering with lights. The Chief Guest of the night honorable Mr. Anil Kumar Joshi (Cabinet Minister, Punjab) was given a warm welcome by S. Santokh Singh Sethi (Add. Honorary Sec.). The cultural night was filled with ebullient and perky performances given by the students of various schools of CKD which included Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Tarn Taran, Pandori Khajoor, Harkrishan International School, Amritsar, Harkrishan Public School, G.T. Road, Amritsar and Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Majitha Road Byepass were the centre of attraction. .The play “Komagatamaru” highlighting the tragic event of 1914 and the Play “Punajbi Maa Boli” exclusively staged by the students of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Tarn Taran stealed the show. On this occasion Mrs. Navneet Kaur Ahuja Principal Sri Guru Harkrishan Publiuc School, Tarn Taran coordinated the stage.

The Chief Guest was presented a token of love by S. Charnjit Singh Chadda President (CKDCS), S. Narinder Singh Khurana, S.Nirmal Singh and other dignitaries of CKD.

The much awaited concluding day of the 65th World Sikh Educational Conference which is taking place at CKD Institute of Management & Technology at Tarn Taran began with the Asa Di Var Kirtan. Today’s spot light was the inauguration of CKD Institute of Management & Technology, Tarn Taran.

The Chief Guest, Honorable C.M Punjab S. Parkash Singh Badal along with other political icons which included the S .Daljit Singh Cheema (Education Minister), S. Rajmohinder Singh Majhita (Former M.P.), S. Ravinder Singh Bharmpura, S. Harmeet Singh Sandhu (Chief Parliamentary Sec.) reached. A grand welcome was bid to the honorable C.M. Punjab by S. Charnjit Singh Chadda. S. Parkash Singh Badal appreciated the efforts of CKD Charitable Society, for contributing remarkably in the political, social and educational field. He extended congratulations to CKD for the 65th World Sikh Educational Conference being held first time on world level. He also showed a keen interest to open various Skill Development Training Centres with the help of CKD to tackle the problem of unemployment. He also assured his best possible help for establishing the proposed CKD University.

On this prestigious occasion Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema (Education Minister) highlighted the splendorous achievements of Punjab Govt. in educational field and expressed hope for CKD to uphold the higher standards in the field of education.

           The personalities who are honored by the honorable Chief Minister today includes Baba Iqbal Singh (Baru Sahib), S. Ravinderpal Singh Bedi Mr. Raghbir Singh Bains (Dubai), S.P Singh Oberoi (Dubai), S. Bhupinder Singh (Holland), Sr. Gursharan Kaur Kandra, Dr. Harshinder Kaur Patiala, Dr. N.S. Malhi (V.C. Guru Kanshi University,Sri Dam Damha Sahib (Talwandi Sabo), Smt. Harjinder Kaur Chandigarh, S. Gurmohan Singh Wallia (V.C Guru Granth Sahib University Fatehghar Sahib), S. Daljit Singh (V.C. Bahra University,Shimla), Sumit Singh Tuli, Dr. Harshinder Kaur ( President,Punjab Medical & Dental Association), Dr. Jaspal Kaur Kang (Chairperson & Dean Sikh Dept. P.U. Chandigarh).

Later Plans and Policies were presented which included to declare Tarn Taran as Heritage City and to setup Educational Institutions at Tarn Taran, requested the Govt. to make the Punjab, Drugs free, steps to promote Punjabi culture among the youth for which CKD will renders its services, to design the syllabus of schools which covers various aspects of Sikhism, to constitute a committee to combat with such forces who hurt the religious sentiments of Sikhs, A censor board to be framed to keep a check over Punjab Entertainment Industry,to give a tribute to the centurion celebration of ‘Komagatamaru’ a library, an auditorium and a research centre to be set up at Tarn Taran, to start various skill development schemes at school level to tackle the problem of unemployment, hold a talk with Centre Government for making the process more convenient for the devotees to visit Gurudawara Sri Kartarpur Sahib.

The other illustrious personalities which marked their presence includes local committee Members of Chief Khalsa Diwan S. Manjit Singh Tarn Tarani, S.Charnjit Singh Khotiwale, S.Harjit Singh Khotiwale, S.Kuljit Singh (Singh Bro.), Dr.Dharmveer Singh, S.Navjot Singh, Mrs. Navneet Kaur Ahuja Principal Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School Tarn Taran and the other dignitaries CKD, Principals and Teachers of various CKD schools and S.D.M Tarn Taran.

The efforts made by Dr.Jaswinder Singh Dhillon (General Sec. Conference) who hosted the program today were remarkable.

Honorable S.Charanjit Singh Chadda Ji announced that the next Conference will be held at Sri Amritsar Sahib and 67th Conference will be held in Canada.

The 65th World Sikh Educational Conference concluded with a special Ardas made by Giani Kewal Singh.
