GNDU conferred Jaswant Singh Rai Memorial Lectureship Award to Vice Chancellor Prof Ramesh K Goyal  

Amritsar March 31 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Guru Nanak Dev University conferred S. Jaswant Singh Rai Memorial Lectureship Award 2022 to Prof Ramesh K Goyal Vice Chancellor Delhi Pharmaceutical Science and Research University New Delhi for his distinguished contributions in the sector of pharmaceutical and life sciences. The award includes an engraved plaque and a cash prize of Rs 25,000.

          Prof Goyal conferred this award by the faculty of Life Sciences of Guru Nanak Dev University on the occasion of S. Jaswant Singh Rai Memorial Lectureship Award 2022 function organized by the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Guru Nanak Dev Univwersity  here today. On this occasion, Professor Goyal deliverd the award oration on “Outcome and Product based Translational Research:  Some Sucess Stories “.

          This function was presided over by Dean Academic Affairs Prof Hardeep Singh and he advised the students and faculty to work hard for achieving excellence in academics and research. Dr. Balbir Singh, Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Coordinator of the Programme also addressed the students and introduced the speaker.   

          Earlier, Prof. Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, Senior Professor extended a formal welcome to the guests on the occasion and briefed about the achievements of the Department. Prof. Avinash Kaur Nagpal Nodal Officer Sardar Jaswant Singh Rai Lectureship Awards apprised the audience about Prof. K.S Rai and the Trust. The vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Subheet Jain. The programme was attended by Dr. Rajbir Bhatti, Dr. Neena Bedi, Dr. Sarabjit Kaur, Dr. Amrit Pal Singh faculty members and students of the other Life Sciences Departments.
