All India Inter-University Artistic Gymnastics and Rhythmic Gymnastics (Women) Championships begins

Amritsar March 31 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  All India Inter-University Artistic Gymnastics (Women) and Rhythmic Gymnastics (Women) Championships were inaugurated here today in the Indoor Multipurpose Hall, University Campus. As many as 100 teams comprising about 500 gymnasts of different universities are participating in this championship.

            Dr. Sukhdev Singh Director Sports said that sportsmanship is an important element for a sportspersonal that ignites and maintains friendship, respect, and orderliness. He said that we should encourage sportsmanship because it develops positive qualities in us that prevents from bitterness, hatred, and jealousy. Sportsmanship stands for everything right and must be practiced in all aspects of life. 

            He said that this Artistic Gymnastics (Women) and Rhythmic Gymnastics (Women) Championships will be concluded on March 31. Dr. Kanwar Mandeep Singh, Assistant Director Sports and other officials of the department were also present on this occasion.
