KPT bags top position in ease of doing business across the state

Secures 67.28 % marks to beat Jalandhar and Bathinda on second and third position

Kapurthala , May 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) – In a remarkable achievement the district Kapurthala has bagged the top position across the state in “ease of doing business“ ranking. The district has secured 67.28 % marks to beat the Industrial hubs like Jalandhar which got 62.97 % marks followed by Bathinda with 61.48 %.

                     While hailing the efforts of district administration under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal CEO Investment Promotion K.K Yadav said that the district Kapurthala has established suitable administrative environment to encourage the setting up of new industrial units as well as extension of earlier units.

                   Deputy commissioner while taking part in a vedio conference with the Investment promotion , said that the district administration grants sanctions to 16 applicants in given time frame in last few months which would not only creates employment opportunities for the youth as well as the revenue generation for the state treasury.

                  It may be mentioned here that the Parameters for Ranking includes applications approved within time frame, Average time taken for Regulatory clearances and User Rating Score.

                Deputy Commissioner also said that the district would also put more attention towards the promotion of tourism destinations in the district to attract cultural tourism by redeveloping the Kanjli wetland etc.

            He assured the higher officials that the administration will work with more zeal and dedication to remain on top position.

                   It may be mentioned here that few days back industrialists Amit Jain receives approval letter in a single day to set up a feed unit at Phagwara.
