Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav celebration Army organises Mini Marathon

Amritsar, August  14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Flaming Arrow Brigade under Vajra Corps conducted a Mini Marathon at New Amritsar Military Station, Khasa under the flagship of ’Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and to commemorate 75^th year of Independence.  Mini marathon was conducted for three categories – open, children & ladies with distances covering 10km, 5km & 4km.

            Large numbers of runners of different age category participated age ranges from 13 years to 55 years. Runners successfully completed the run with lot of zeal and enthusiasm.  The chief guest of the event, presented the winner medals in each category. In addition, all other participants were presented with the finisher medals/certificate.  The highlight of the event was the enthusiasm and patriotic fervor displayed by one and all. Mini marathon, during monsoon season, was enjoyed by all the participants and turned out to be a true tribute to the Nation.
