All parties active for release of Sikh prisoners are respectable- Advocate Dhami
Amritsar, August 25 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami today met Bapu Surat Singh at DMC Hospital in Ludhiana, to know about his health. Under the struggle for release of Bandi Singhs (Sikh political prisoners), Bapu Surat Singh is protesting for a long time.
On this occasion, Advocate Dhami said that justice is not being done with the Bandi Singhs lodged in Indian jails for three decades, and despite being in elder condition, Bapu Surat Singh is struggling for their release.
Appreciating the determination, belief and courage of Bapu Surat Singh, Advocate Dhami said the SGPC affirms his struggle and expresses commitment to continue the efforts initiated for the release of Bandi Singhs.
Advocate Dhami said that the SGPC and Bapu Surat Singh have the same intention regarding the release of Bandi Singhs and all parties which are active for this Panthic affair are respectable. He said the governments are deliberately inattentive on this issue of releasing Bandi Singhs, but the Sikh Panth (community) will continue the struggle until justice is obtained.
Meanwhile, Bapu Surat Singh honoured SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami for his Panthic services.
