A Milestone for Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society

Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society has a long history of 112 years to serve the every section of society and deeply concerned with the social and economic welfare for the needy ones. Chief Khalsa Diwan is always involved in the efforts to serve humanity. Old age homes, Orphanges , a number of Charitable hospitals and dispensaries are running under the control of Chief Khalsa Diwan.

Chief Khalsa Diwan has put one more step ahead with unique initiative dedicated to birth anniversary of Bhai Veer Singh Ji to serve humanity through the inauguration of Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Sarai. This Sarai is in the premises of Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, Amritsar and will be inaugurated by Cabinet Minister Sh. Anil Joshi along with President S. Charanjit Singh Chadha and other social & eminent personalities of CKD on 6 Dec., 2014.

                 The main objective of setting up of Sarai is to provide lodging and catering facilities by Chief Khalsa Diwan at reasonable rates to the attendants of patients who are admitted in Guru Nanak Dev Hospital. It houses eell furnished 28 rooms including VIP rooms with 38 bathrooms with modern sanitation system and proper hygienic kitchen. According to President S. Charanjit Singh Chadha everyday a number of patients are admitted in this hospital, however only a few patients attendants manage to get lodging facilities, while others rests in open.

But , Now Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Sarai running under Chief Khalsa Diwan is ready to cater the needs of attendants of the patients.
