Amritsar, February 5 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Punjab BJP Core Committee Member Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina today hailed the Union Budget as growth oriented and people friendly. He said every sector including agriculture; health, education, and defence, apart from employee have been taken care of. The budget, he said, will provide impetus to economic development and welfare of common people.
In a statement issued here, Chhina said that the last budget of the BJP Government in Centre have brought smiles to middle class and the initiatives taken by the Modi government will bring several structural reforms.The pro-poor policies, infrastructure development, digital services, IT and push to major and medium industries is the hallmark of this budget.
Chhina hailed the announcement of allocating Rs.2.00 lakh crores for free ration, 157 new nursing colleges, national children library, storage capacity for agro-products, recruitment of record number of teachers and reduction of excise on various items that will check the inflation. “The employees and especially the middle class will be happy on no income tax up to Rs.7.00 lakhs which is a major relief for salaried class”, said Chhina.
The subsidy to farmers pursuing animal husbandry, fisheries and green technology in agro industry is another major step taken in the budget, said he. He emphasized that the Government is committed to inclusive growth by strengthening services for middle-class and the lower middle class. “The poor section of the society has been taken care of in the budget and so are the farmers and the women’’, said Chhina
