Khalsa College’s Alumni Meet-2014

The Ex-Students of Historic Khalsa College Amritsar (KCA) would be gathering at their alma-mater on Monday during the `Alumni Meet-2014’ on its campus. More than 800 former students who are settled across the globe following getting education from the college are expected to arrive for the meet to share their experiences.  All preparation are in full swing and the Alumni including former PAU vice chancellor Dr. Khem Singh Gill, present VC Dr. B.S Dhillon, Cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi, Punjab pop singer Amrinder Gill top doctors from AIIMS (Delhi), Argentina’s peanut King Simarpal Singh are some of the names who are expected at the meet apart from scores of its former student from US and Canada.

KCA has given many high ranking Army officers and many are expected to arrive at the meet’’, said Principal Dr. Mehal Singh. Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) honorary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina said the objective of the Meet is to provide an opportunity to alumni to share their sweet memories relating their times spent at College. The glimpses of Punjabi culture through a cultural function, Martial Art exhibition, a fair would mark the meet, said he. KCA has a rich educational and heritage history of 123 years as it was established in 1892 and there is a great number of alumni having, national and international fame, settled in various countries.
