Amritsar, October 21 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Punjab and Punjabi are under a severe drug attack. Youth and their family are suffering a lot due to durgs. KAUSA Trust is an organisation which is working on social causes, do art promotion and charity in the “Golden City”. To make the youth and kids more aware about Drugs, KT organised a “Poster Making Competition” on the topic “Embracing Drug Free World” at KT: Kala Museum today. More than 120 students of 25 School/Colleges participated.
Ms Kamaljeet Kaur Assistance Professor Khalsa College Women, Ms Mala Chawla Senior Artist and Brajesh Jolly were the members of judgment committee. Professor Luxmi Kanta Chawla was the Chief Guest and she distributed the awards to the winners. In her key note address Professor Chawla said that there are very few such institution like KAUSA Trust who are working tirelessly, selflessly for the promotion of art and for social enemies.
Secretary Rajesh Raina said that it is the endeavour of the KAUSA Trust to send a healthy and good message to the society by holding such events and urged upon the parents to sensitize their kids about the ill and devastating effects of drugs which also serve our motto of art promotion and charity.
Director Brajesh Jolly said that refreshment, gifts, certificates were given to all participants besides 15 cash awards to the winners and some special awards to special students. It was a poster colour competition; therefore, poster colour boxes were given to all participants
The present on the occasion includes Dr. Rajani dogr, Aman Gill, Anil khanna Tina, Jaspinder Kau, Isha Dhingra, Harmeet Kaur, Rajinder Kaur, Nisha Mahajan, Amit Kumar, Lakhwinder Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Chamanpreet kaur, Taranpreet Kaur, Ramajeet Kaur, Parveen Malik , Vanshika Luthra.
The award winners of competition Group ‘A’ (upto 8th,9th,10th class) are Yeshika Parashar DAV Public Lawrance Road, Krishmapreet Kaur Holy Heart School, Sarvi Shoor DAV Public Lawrance Road, Navya Mahajan Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School and Jagroop Singh Khalsa College. Group ‘B’ (+ One and + Two classes) are Vaishnavi Bhardwaj BBK DAV College for Women and Vasu Mehra DAV Public Lawrance Road , Karitika Nishal Holy Heart School, Ankit Khalsa College, Ishaan Arora Delhi Public School, Group ‘C’ (Graduation, Post Graduation) Mayank Attri Khalsa college, Harjit Singh Khalsa college, Saanya Jain BBK DAV College for Women, Lovepreet Khalsa college for Education, Special Group Harmanpreet Singh Bhagat Puran Singh school of deaf and Sukhmanpreet Kaur Bhagat Puran Singh school of deaf.
