BBK DAV College for Women organizes a Special Vedic Havan Yajna

Amritsar, December 28 (Punjab Post Bureau) – BBK DAV College for Women organized a special VedicHavan Yagya to commemorate the Balidan Diwas of Mahatma Swami Shraddhanand ji. The holy Havan started with the chanting of Gayatri Mantra.

Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, while thanking God, shed light on the illustrious personality of Swami Shraddhanand ji. She said that Swami Shraddhanand ji disseminated the ethos of education rooted in the teachings and principles of the Vedas and Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati. While describing the life and teachings of SwamiShraddhanand ji, she urged everyone to emulate Swamiji’s commitment to societal welfare and follow the path shown by him. The Principal highlighted the fact that Swamiji was the one who founded GurukulKangriUniversityand further said thatSwamijilaid his life for the cause of Vedicprinciples and values.She also apprised the guests of various activities of Arya Samaj being conducted in the college campus throughout the year.She concluded by proudly announcing the outstanding achievement of B.A Sem-VI students who secured the top three positions in the GNDU exams held in May 2023.

Mr. Sudarshan Kapoor Chairman Local Advisory Committee congratulated Principal Dr. Walia and the staff members on the successful completion of the Havan and emphasised that Swami Shraddhanand Ji dedicated his entire life to the service of humanity. The Department of Music of college presented a soulful bhajan. The stage was conducted by Dr. Anita Narendra, Head Department of Hindi.

On this occasion, members of Arya Samaj, namely, Col. Ved Mitter, Rakesh Mehra, Sandeep Ahuja, Mrs. Renu Vaid, Harish Kumar, Anil Vinayak, Mrs. Rajni Oberoi, Smt. Balbir Kaur Bedi as well as Dr. Pallavi Sethi Principal DAV Public School, members of teaching & non-teaching staff and students of the college were present.
