Heroin worth 15 Crore recovered near BOP Fatehpur

Amritsar, Dec. 29 (Punjab Post Bureau) – On intervening night 27/28 Dec 2014 a patrolling party laid by Sh. Neeraj Maan, Asstt Comdt of BOP Fatehpur, 67 Bn BSF. While carrying patrolling on the border, the patrolling party  heard a thumping sound and suspicious movement. When patrolling party challenged they were fired upon by the smugglers. The patrolling party retaliated  by firing 3 round in self-defence, but the smugglers run away taking advantage of dense fog and undulating ground. The area was cordoned and searched, during search 3 packets of Heroin were seized from the agriculture field valued of  Rs. 15 crore in International market.
