Havan performed at BBK DAV College for Women

Amritsar, Jan. 1 (Punjab Post Burea) – To mark the beginning of the New Year 2015 and start of the NSS Camp, BBK DAV College for Women performed Havan Yagya in the college premises. S. Baljeet Singh Randhawa, Head Police Community Centre and S. Satinder Bir Singh, Distt. Education Officer attended the Havan and showered their blessings on the students. In his speech, Mr. Randhawa elaborated the working of the community centres and how these centres aim to help the citizens. He attempted to bridge the gap between the citizens and the police department. Satinderbir Singh gave best wishes for the New Year and emphasized on the importance of good deeds and time management. Principal of the college Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra wished the staff and students of the college good health and prosperity. She also gave blessings to the students who would be attending the NSS camp starting from today onwards. Focusing on the need for community welfare, she added that during this camp the students would work for the upliftment of Qila Jeewan Singh, a village adopted by the college.
