BBK DAV NSS unit organized Computer & Gidda Workshop in adopted village Qila Jeevan Singh

Amritsar, Jan. 3 (Punjab Post Bureau) – NSS unit of BBK DAV College entered third day of seven day special camp. Unit organized Computer Workshop and Gidda workshop in the adopted village Qila Jeevan Singh. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra informed that the theme of today’s acitivities was “Vidya Vichari Ta Parupkari”. Village government high school school headmistress Ms. Ravinderjit Kaur who was present with staff and students extended a warm welcome, Programme officer Mrs. Jaspreet Bedi delivered a lecture on railway reservation. She told that booking and creation of login are two important aspects of Railway reservation. Dr. Rani Assistant Prof., Department of Punjabi organized workshop on Punjabi culture with special reference to gidda. She trained the audience about various technical aspects of Punjabi folk dance gidda with help of Ms, Manpreet kaur. She explained the traditional culture with respect to social values prevailing in the current social circles. Ms. Veerawali Assistant prof. from department of computer science delivered lectures on google search, Yahoo account and Skype. She explained at length aspects of search engine, email creation and communications. Mrs. Radhika, Mrs. Surbhi, Dr. Shveta, Mr.Vishal motivated the villagers to use computer to perform their daily chores. Mr. Loveleen Singh Hindi Teacher extended vote of thanks. He told that these interactions Programs of BBK DAV College with villagers and students of our school have proved very beneficial for our village.
