Amritsar, Jan. 27 (Dharmender Singh Rataul) – The Republic Day was celebrated with fervor at various Khalsa institutions. The national flag was unfurled at Khalsa College Public School (Heir) by Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina presided over the function and took the salute as the school students performed dance and sang the patriotic songs. He said in his address that the 66th year of celebration of the day remind us about the sacrifices made to get freedom for the country and we must redeem our pledge to make the democracy stronger. The tri-colour was also unfurled at Khalsa College Public School (KCPS) where the Principal Dr.Sarvjit Kaur Brar presided over the function which witnessed colourful presentations by the school children. The republic day was also celebrated at Khalsa College International Public School (KCIPS) where the function was presided over by Principal Dr.DK Sandhu.
