Inter-College Declamation Contest at Khalsa College

Amritsar, March 3 (Dharmender Singh Rataul) – An Inter-College Declamation contest was organized by department of English, Khalsa College in which Khalsa College for Women students bagged the first position, Shazadanand second and SSSS College of Commerce third position. The topics of the declamation ranged from theological questions on “Is God Dead” to environment “ The Planet is Falling Apart”,  “Are we too late” to life style issues on “The Changing face of Modern Family”. Best Speaker’s Award was shared by Rhabh Sodhi (Khalsa College) and Lovepreet Singh (Shahyada), said Principal Dr.Mehal Singh who gave away prizes to the winners. Dr. Mehal Singh praised efforts of the faculty of English department for organizing such a contest. The function was attended by faculty of English and student. Prof Navneen Bawa HOD, presented a vote of thanks. Prof J.S Arora HOD, Commerce, Dr, Avtar Singh, Prof Sukhmeen Bedi, Prof Anupam Sandhu, Prof Supninder Kaur, Prof Malkinder Singh were present on the accession. Prof. C.L Joneja former Head, English Department and Prof Mohan Singh Former Teacher performed the duty of judges. The stage was conducted by Prof Sawant Singh.
