AAP’s Dr Daljit Singh made a daily wager inaugurate the rural party office at Gumtala

PPN310301Amritsar, March 31 ( Punjab Post Bureau)- Treading on the lines of Aam Aadmi Party’s core policy of common people’s participation and shunning the VIP culture, Dr. Daljit Singh not only refused to take security guards with a signed letter to Deputy Commissioner but also got the party’s rural office inaugurated by a daily wager Baldev Singh resident of  Naushehra village. Every party worker and public of the area that had gathered there to meet the AAP candidate Dr. Daljit Singh were surprised to see Baldev Singh who was garlanded and whose hands were trembling while holding the inaugural scissor. Baldev could barely cut the customary red ribbon for the inauguration and said it was heart touching for him and people like him and touched the feet of the AAP candidate to show his respects. He said he had never encountered this type of campaign style while most times the candidates hardly get out of their vehicles and the workers take rounds and here was a candidate who made a small time worker like him still on a high pedestal this proves that the party practices what it preaches. Dr Singh patted him and said the AAP stood for revolutionary and people friendly policies while party workers raised the slogan ‘Na Paisa te Na daroo te; Vote Paygi Jharoo te’( not on money nor on alcohol, votes would be come on the stamp of the broom). Meantime AAP got a shot in the arm with two prominent party workers of Congress joining AAP. congress leaders Rev. Peter Parkash and Satonkh Singh brother of Suba Singh (Sarpanch (congress) from Village HardoPutli) joined the party and vowed to be a part of movement led by AAP aimed at Public Raj.  Later on Dr. Daljit Singh led a door to door campaign in the areas of Mustafabad where the people gave arousing welcome and rued that the successive governments have failed to deliver their promises. They pointed out that despite several assurances by the leaders of SAD-BJP Alliance the area is devoid of proper health, sanitation and education facilities. On this occasion Dr. Indu, Dr. Ravjit Singh, Ashok Talwar Convener, J.S. Gill Advocate, Sarabjit Singh Gumtala Convener Attari, Iqbal Singh, Rattan Singh Attari D.S. Padam etc. were also present.
