He made a scathing attack on former Chief Minister and Congress candidate Captain Amarinder Singh saying he was reluctant to contest but was forced by Rahul Gandhi to contest and now was making misleading statements. He said Captain feels that if he will speak something false 10 times, people will take it as if truth but this will not happen as he can not befool the people any further. He said Captain never talks about the corruption in UPA, Unemployment in country or Price Rise but will be issuing just threats to one and all. He said one after the other Congress leaders were shying away from contesting elections including Captain Amarinder but they were forced to do so by their party President. He said the people in Border areas had been suffering since 1947 and now with NDA all set to form government in Centre their plight will be listened. He said when Captain was Chief Minister he never cared to reach out to the people of the border areas and will go back to Chandigarh after eating at swanky hotels and restaurants in Amritsar. “Where were you when the border area people were being hit by the bombs from across the border in Pakistan’’, he asked captain.
