Punjabi Department of BBK DAV organized seminar

Pakistani Poet Ahmad Saleem was the Chief Guest

Amritsar, Apr. 20 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  The Punjabi Department of BBK DAV College for Women organized a seminar in which the famous Pakistani poet, critic and editor, Mr. Ahmad Saleem was the Chief Guest.

In this seminar, Mr. Ahmad Saleem has given his valuable views to the students on Punjabi literature, Culture, Gurmukhi and Shahmukhi Scripts, mother tongue, life as well as on other important issues. He further added that there should be love, respect and friendship between the people of both the countries so that the bitterness between the two nations can be lessened and this can be done only through the efforts done by the people of new generation as well as by the artists of both the countries. On this event, Mr. Ahmad Saleem recited two beautiful Nazams and answered all the queries of students as well as staff members.

Dr. (Mrs.) Rupinder Pal, the HOD of Punjabi Department has begun the seminar by welcoming the Chief Guest. The professors of Punjabi Department and students of M.A. Punjabi gave a floral welcome to Mr. Ahmad Saleem. On this occasion, Mrs. Manpreet Buttar and student Navjeet conducted the stage.

Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra has expressed gratitude to Mr. Ahmad Saleem for being a part of this seminar. She presented a bouquet of flowers, shawl and a token of momento to the chief guest. The seminar ended with a speech by Dr. (Mrs.) Rani and in the ending speech, it was said that such seminars will be conducted in the future time and again. On this occasion, Mrs. Harsimran Kaur, Mrs. Paramjit, Prof. Rajdep Mehra, Mrs. Kirandeep, Mrs. Jasbir, Ms. Manpreet Bal, Prof. Simarjeet Gill, Ms. Manpreet and Ms. Kanwal of Punjabi Department as well as others students were present.
