
Amritsar, Apr. 28 (Punjab Post Bureau) – IRA Kaundal of DPS Amritsar has secured 181 marks in JEE Main where the cut off for the same is 105/ 360. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country. In 2012, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has announced this common examination in place of AIEEE and IIT-JEE. She was awarded a Scholar blazer as She secured 90% and above in last four consecutive years. She is a very good debater. She was a regular student and actively participated in the school activities.
16-year old Madhur Arora, student of Delhi Public School Amritsar, lifted the ‘Champion of Champions’ trophy in the recently held “15th Punjab State Inter School Shooting Championship-2014” at Guru Nanak Dev University campus, organized by Amritsar Rifle Club. Madhur, who is the son of Dr (Major) Rahul Arora in the army, also bagged a silver medal in the U-19, Junior Men Rifle category.
Talking here after his spectacular win in the prestigious ‘Champion of Champions’(CoC) trophy the shooter explained that four ace shooters compete for the CoC. Madhur was awarded a sum of Rs 25,000 as Prize money for the CoC trophy and Rs 14,000 as a silver medalist. A jubilant school principal Ms Sangeeta Singh, heartily congratulated the budding shooter.
