At village panjgrain the CPS Desraj Singh Dhugga welcomes yatra
Batala, May 25 (N. S Barnal) – Like cities, the Dharmik Darshan Yatra has got a thumping response in the villages too. Having started from Batala city, the yatra was given warm welcome at various villages. Today noon when the yatra reached village Panjgrain, the devotees gave it a very warm welcome. Dharmik Diwans have been set up for yatra since morning at Panjgrain. Sangat from villages Pratapgarh, Bahadar Hussain, Masaniyan, Sangrawan, Thariewal, Dhandoi, Harpura, Kohali, Kandila, Kazampur, Boparai and Udhanwal got together to welcome the yatra at Panjgrain. The cold water chhabeel and langars marked the entire yatra route. The MLA of Sri Hargobindpur and CPS Mr Desraj Singh Dhugga welcomed the yatra on its arrival at Panjgrain. Mr Dhugga presented siropas to Panj Piaras and had darshan of Guru Sahibans’ holy relics. Addressing devotees at the occasion, the CPS Dhugga said that the people of Sri Hargobindpur were fortunate ones to have darshan of holy Dharmik Darshan Yatra.
He said that the Punjab government and SGPC have taken this joint initiative to spread Sikhism and cement the bonds of faith. SDM Batala Jaspal Singh, SGPC member Jathedar Kashmir Singh Bariar, Sukhjinder Singh Sonu Langah, Harvinder Singh Kahlon, Jhirmal Singh sarpanch Panjgrain, Manjit Singh Hardan, Karamjit Singh Jogi, Rachpal Singh Karnama and others were also present.
