Photography workshop held  at Art Gallery

Amritsar, July 12 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The fifth week of Summer Art Camp entered with high spirits amongst participants because PHOOGRAPHY & DANCES are the craze amongst the young generation.  In its first part, PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP was held at 4 pm IN THE Engineer S. Dharam Singh AUDITORIUM OF ART GALLERY, MM Malviya Road. If you happen to ask some persons regarding their hobbies; almost all of them innumerate Music, Sight seeing & Photography; for the art of Music you need music system and a few CDs or pen drives; for sight seeing, you need money & company; and for photography… a camera, which was a rare commodity a few years back & now everybody owns it in Cell Phones. You need just a bit of training to get good results. But of course, there is no such school, academy or institution in Amritsar to teach you photography art. IAFA took the initiative to hold a PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP.
PHOTOGRAPHY workshop was attended by Summer Art Camp Students, IAFA Members and a great number from the General Public interested in the Art of Photography. S. Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina presided over and S. Mohinderjit Singh Chaired the workshop.

FACULTY MEMBERS: Dr. P.S.Grover explained the basics of photography and gave tips to the beginners. He screened his work of photography on the subject of “Nature”;
S. Sandip Singh motivated the students to get started in photography and shoot “Around us”; S. Mandeep Singh Manu taught the art of Photo “Graphics” by which he has attained International recognition; Dr. Shantnu Malhotra through his screened work told to the much surprise how he had studied animals and photographed “Wild Life” S. Amritpal Singh Luthra from Jallandhar who has won many awards in photography explained his style of work and focused on “Facial Expressions”; Dr. Manish Goyal a well known doctor of Pathankot showed how he has captured “Birds” with his camera; Sh. Chander Mohan Arora told how to cover various “Functions”.
Group Show of Photographs: Later on at 6 PM, Sh. Venkateshwara Rao, Director Airport authority of India inaugurated a ‘Group show of Photographs’ by the Faculty member photo artists. Public appreciated the work and a great enthusiasm was shown by the youngsters in the art of photography.
Convener of the Exhibition was S. Arvinder Singh Chamak.
He told that the art work of International acclaimed photographer from Dubai Mr. Syed Abul Hassan Rizvi has arrived while the artist could not make up because of Visa problem; the same show shall be organized on 26 July.
Dance Mania: A dance show was organized by the students of summer Art Camp choreographed by Latika Arora and Saloni Arora. It was delightful to see tiny tots dancing on the stage with full confidence with just one month’s training. President S, Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina encouraged the participants and their parents with his opening remarks.
Team of the forthcoming Punjabi movie “Lafandar Party” was present; Ms. Raj Jannat, the heroine of the film was student in music under Dr. Tejinder Ada and had performed on IAFA stage many a times. Raj is a versatile singer too.
