Amritsar, Aug. 5 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Water sports players of BBK DAV College for Women won 28 Silver Medals & 9 Bronze Medals in Dragon Boat Federation Cup held at Pong Dam, Talwara. Total Six teams of different states of India participated in this competition. The Punjab Water Sports team gave a splendid show by defeating Himachal Pradesh & Haryana. The final match was played between Punjab and Jammu Kashmir. Players are Kawaljit Kaur, Rajbir Kaur, Shaveta, Slomi, Diksha, Robandeep, and Gagandeep Kaur. Each player won the three Silver Medals. Sandeep and Suman won One Silver Medal each. Ms. Priyanka won four Silver Medals and Two Bronze Medals. Komal Devi, Mandeep, Arashdeep and Komal Rani won Bronze Medals each.
Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, and Sports department H.O.D. Mrs. Sweety Bala and faculty members Ms. Savita Kumar, Ms. Aruna and Ms. Rajwant Kaur congratulated the students and blessed them to touch new heights.
