Jalandhar, Sept. 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The 17 days Rsing Star Corps Cycling Expedition comprising of 36 cyclists from Jammu to Delhi which commenced on 04 September 2015 to commemorate Golden Jubilee of INDO-PAK War of 1965 by Indian Army. As a part of the celebration in Mamun Cantonment, weapons and equipment display, a musical programme and screening of patriotic movies for families and children was organised to commemorate the event and convey the message of indomitable spirit of the nation and its armed forces through the Cycling Expedition.The expedition was flagged off by Major General Devesh Agnihotri, General Officer Commanding, Gurj Division, today. The expedition will visit places having seen action during the 1965 operations to include Samba, Mamun Cantt, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Firozpur, Fazilka, Bhatinda, Patiala, Chandigarh, Roorkee and Meerut before culminating at Delhi on 20 September 2015.
