Aujla protests against negligence by SAD-BJP

Amritsar 7 Aug (Punjab Post Bureau)- Following Capt. Amarinder Singh’s Mission 2017, DCC(R) Amritsar president Gurjeet Singh Aujla along with Congressmen, workers and activists protested against the negligence of Amritsar South constituency by SAD-BJP government. South constituency is on the negligence list of  SAD-BJP government for the last 9 years but was a favorite location of SAD-BJP leaders for laying foundation stones. Now seeing the imminent end in 2017 ‘gali pardhans’ of SAD-BJP have begun misguiding commoners and residents that crores have been released for the development of the area. Residents and Congressmen today protested against this misleading policy of SAD-BJP by symbolically covering the foundation stone with a sheet. Aujla informed that this foundation stone on by-pass near Sultanwind road crossing was laid by Dy. CM Sukhbir Singh Badal, cabinet minister Anil Joshi, cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia, CPS Inderbir Singh Bolaria etc. after a massive rally. As per this foundation stone Rs. 285 crores were supposed to be spent upon the installation/development/maintenance of water supply, sewerage, sewerage treatment plant, roads, drainage etc. but not even a single penny  was spared for South constituency. Now as 2017 is nearing, SAD MLA from South has started staging pseudo protests against his own government to clear his name in public. Aujla further informed that government is to spend 160 crores on this project and rest of the amount will be collected from public in form of new connection fees and bills by corporation in next 10 years whereas. He said that this protest is just a wake up call for SAD-BJP and if in case government ignores this call a series of protests will be launched at a large scale. The present in the protest includes Gurbinder Singh Mahal Sen Sectry, Blraj Singh Ball etc.,
