Deputy Commissioner to get ‘Baba Farid Award for Honesty-2015’

ECI also bestows upon Best DEO award for best electoral practices

Amritsar, Sept. 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Tilla Baba Farid Religious and Charitable Society and Gurdwara Godri Sahib Baba Farid Society has adjudged Mr. Ravi Bhagat, Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar
to bestow upon him the prestigious award namely ‘Baba Farid Award for Honesty-2015’. 

The society described that the award is a token of appreciation to Mr. Bhagat for carrying out public services with sterling loyalty and immaculate integrity. The award would be conferred on September 23 during the presentation ceremony at Diwan Hall of Gurdwara Godri Sahib. The award carries a citation, a siropa (robe of honour) and Rs. 1 lakh cash. As per the communiqué of Society the award will be conferred on Mr. Bhagat for being ‘the most honest person of Punjab’ in this year.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bhagat said that this honour will further give a boost to his commitment and dedication. He also thanked the societies to choose him for this appreciation and said that announced that cash amount of Rs. 1 lakh will be compassionately granted to worldwide human welfare organization Red Cross.

ECI also confers on Best DEO Award: The Election Commission of India has also awarded Mr. Ravi Bhagat, Deputy Commissioner Amritsar with prestigious ‘Best District Election Officer Award’ for best electoral practices-2014 in view of his unparalleled and outstanding performance. The award carries an appreciation certificate from Election Commission of India.  The award was conferred on Mr. Ravi Bhagat for strategic planning at polling stations to facilitate people to vote.

This award had been conferred on Mr. Ravi Bhagat by Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab Mr. V.K. Singh, IAS.
