Powered hang glider (PHG) expedition to commemorate 50 years of 1965 war

Amritsar, Sept. 16 (Punjab Post Bureau) – To commemorate 50th anniversary Of India’s victory in 1965 war over Pakistan, a series of events/adventure activities like Microlight expedition, Powered Hang Glider Expedition and Ultra Marathon have been planned by Indian Air Force. Powered Hang Glider(PHG) Expedition as a part of these adventure activities was flagged off from Air Force Station Rajasansi by its Station Commander Group Captain PK singh on 16 Sep 15. During the Expedition,  the PHG would be stopping at Air Force Station Adapter, Air Force Station Halwara and Air Force Station Ambala before finally culminating at Air Force Station Hindon on 19 Aug 15. At Air Force Station Rajasansi, joy rides were given to school children and civilians to motivate them and also to spread awareness amongst the local population.
