Tourism Fest organized in BBK DAV College for Women on “World Tourism Day”

Amritsar, Oct. 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Students of Departments participated by exhibiting different types of stalls displaying handicrafts of various states, cuisines of different states in India, Showcase of Punjabi Culture, Fairs and Festivals of India and career opportunities in Tourism sector. “Tourism Fest” was inaugurated by Sh. Sudershan Kapoor Ji & Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra. They appreciated the efforts of the teachers and students. Professor Naresh Kumar, Head Department of Tourism and Geography, Prof. Preeti, Prof. Rupali and   Prof. Sumeer were present on the occasion and guided the students for organizing the event. Teachers of various DAV Schools of Amritsar Region also visited and got information about the scope and potential of this sector. Poster making competition was also organized on the theme “Indian Heritage” First Position was won by Sandeep (MA. Commercial Arts), Second Disha (MA Commercial Arts), Third Renuka (Bachelor of Fine Arts). Such types of events are good practical experience of learning.
