
Amritsar, Oct. 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The students of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road carved a niche for themselves by being one among 25 schools from all over India to be selected for the second round of ‘National Aerolympics – 2015. The competition is organised by Aeronautical Society of India . In the first round, more than 300 schools participated from all over India. In this round, the students had to prepare a detailed report on ‘Greener Aircraft’. The students of the school worked very hard under the guidance of the teachers and prepared a report that aimed to make the regular aircraft eco – friendly by bringing changes in its design, engine, fuel and overall statistics. The students, Suryansh, Savjot and Atharva from Std X who prepared the report , are burning mid – night oil for the second round of this prestigious competition which will be held from November 27 – 29 , 2015 in Bangluru.
Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College, Hathi Gate congratulated the students and said that it was a big achievement. They asked the students to work hard for the second round and bring laurels for the school. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school expressed her happiness at the wonderful performance of the students. She said that she wanted her students to be research oriented and work innovatively for the betterment of humanity.
