BBK DAV College organized two day Workshop on “Immunodiagnostic Techniques”

Amritsar, Oct. 28 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Department of Zoology organized a two day workshop sponsored by DBT (star college scheme) and UGC (community college) on “Immunodiagnostic Techniques” for the students and faculty from various streams (Medical, Non-Medical, Biotechnology and Clinical Diagnostics). Dr. Manpreet Dhunna, Assistant Professor, Deptt. Of Human Genetics, G.N.D.U., Amritsar was the resource person for this workshop. She demonstrated the techniques of Double Immuno-Diffusion (DID) and Haemagglutination to the faculty & the students. The workshop was followed by a lecture on Immunological tools in diagnostics.

            Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra welcomed the resource person and the faculty from neighbouring colleges who attended the workshop. She appreciated the efforts of the faculty & students for learning these applied techniques which have immense significance in the diagnosis of various diseases. Dr. Monika Bhardwaj, Co-ordinator of DBT Star College Scheme & Co-ordinator of community college, thanked Dr. Manpreet Dhunna and applauded the support rendered by DBT and UGC for organizing such useful workshops. Ms. Isha Babbar,     Ms. Ashima Mehra, Ms. Sonal, Ms. Bhawna, Ms. Dilpreet and Mrs. Gurmeet Kaur from department of Zoology participated in this workshop.
