BBK DAV Students of B.Sc. Medical and B. Sc Biotech visited the Research Lab

Amritsar, Nov. 2 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Department of Biotechnology and Botany of BBK DAV College for Women organized a Herbal Health Research Conrortium (HHRC). Student of B.Sc. Medical and B. Sc Biotech visited the Research Lab situated at Amritsar.

HHRC is a cluster project promoted by Department of Ayush, Govt. of India in collaboration with 29 Ayurvadic manufacturers. This collaboration is an effective strategy for competitive enhancement of ayurvedic industry HHRC has very good infrastructure, standardized, and latest technology, better research and development facilities to produce quality product. Student got the chance to see various instruments and precise technology. They learned about HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography), HPTLC (High performance thin layer chromatography), GC-MS (Gas chromatography- Mass Spectroscopy) and also visited Microbiology Lab to see BOD incubators, Biosafety cabinet etc. HHRC also has a provision for industrial lab training to produce skilled manpower. It has state of art laboratory equipped with most sophisticated & advanced equipments.
