BBK DAV College for Women Won Championship for 18th time

Amritsar, Nov. 6 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Fencing team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar bring laurel for the institution by winning GNDU Inter College Fencing Championship by scoring 30 points held at GNDU Campus. The team created a new record being continuous championship for two decades.

In this championship, K.M.V. College, Jalandhar got runners up position and GNDU Campus, Amritsar got 2^nd runners up position. College fencers won the gold medals in Foil team event, and Epee team events and bronze Medal in Sabre. In individual event, Ms. Rajbir won gold medal, Kirandeep won bronze Medal in Foil team event, Ms. Puneet won bronze medal in Sabre event and Ms. Prabhdeep won Bronze Medal in Epee event. Four players i.e. Rajbir, Kirandeep, Prabhdeep, & Puneet are selected for camp in All India Intervarsity Fencing Championship which is going to be held at Aurangabad in month of December, 2015. Other team members Anju, Prabhjot, Sarabjeet, Rajwant, Ardass & Khushboo. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and sports department teacher Ms. Savita Kumari, Ms. Aruna & Ms. Rajwant Kaur congratulated the students and blessed them to touch new heights.
