Jolt to Captain as Vajitha Urban Congress President joins Sad
Amritsar, 23 April (Punjab Post Bureau) – SAD-BJP candidate from Amritsar LokSabha constituency Mr. Arun Jaitley today made a frontal attack on Captain Amarinder Singh for ditching the Sikh community with a singular aim of pleasing the residents of 10 Janpath on the critical issue of carnage of thousands of Sikhs in 1984 by the Congress mob led by JagdishTytler and others. Overwhelmed by unprecedented show of strength and loyalty by SAD-BJP workers in 2nd Road Show in a week in Majitha area,where thousands of people including young and old ones came out of there houses and shops to welcome Jaitly and BikramMajithia, Mr. Jaitley said that he was pained that Captain Amarinder Singh just for petty political gains to please his mentors in Delhi has gone to the extent of playing with the feelings of families of thousands of victims, who had been denied justice for last 30 years due to mechanizations of Congress Party. He said that Captain’s role in this whole episode exposes his dual character, who has given priority to bow wishes of Sonia and Rahul rather than to ensure justice to the families. Thanking thousands of supporters Mr. Jaitley said that these repeated show of collective strength by the people of Amritsar has put Captain in quandary and his increasing negativity and aggression reflects the graph of his increasing frustration. Showing mirror to the Captain Amarinder Singh on the critical issue of Property Tax, Mr. Jaitley said that Captain’s propaganda cannot suppress the documentary evidences of his dubious role in initiating the move of property tax as on 6thDecember 2006 he gave written orders to Chief Secretary Punjab to send the consent of Punjab Government to Union Government for imposing property tax on all properties in the urban areas. He said that he was ready to bring out that communication to refresh the memory of Captain where he had recommended that it was necessary to impose Property Tax in the urban areas. Asking Captain Amarinder Singh to come clean on the issue of imposition of total ban on all recruitment during his five year tenure, Mr. Majithia said that Captain’s tenure would be known as darkest tenure for the state employees, who could not get a single penny hike in the congress rule. He said that it was Captain Amarinder Singh who reduced holidays for Punjab employees to be observed on various religious occasions from 34 to 14 in a single stroke. He said that people of Punjab want development and what to call of development Captain stopped all ongoing development works during his dark rule. He said that Bathinda refinery acquisition of land for which was completed by S. Parkash Singh Badal and Captain just to help private refineries halted the development of Bathinda refinery. Mr. Majithia said that this tsunami of Congress leaders joining SAD-BJP alliance would prove to be last nail in the coffin of Congress Party.
