Amritsar, Dec. 7 (Punjab Post Bureau)- DAV Public School, Lawrence Road observed Armed Forces Flag Day today in its premises. The aim was to express the nation’s solidarity with the soldiers in recognition to their sacrifices for the sake of the country from time to time. The students sang patriotic songs and recited poems highlighting the bravery of the soldiers who are always on guard at the borders to safeguard the country from any external attack. Every year 7th December is observed as the Flag Day to renew our solidarity with our valiant soldiers, sailors and airmen, both serving and retired. The students saluted their spirit of sacrifice, patriotism and brotherhood and pledged to serve the nation in their capacity with the same spirit.
Regional Director Amritsar Zone, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar , Principal DAV College, Hathi Gate sent their best wishes to the students on this occasion. They advised them to work hard and make the country proud with their contribution.
Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school, asked the students to remember the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers who laid their lives to preserve the integrity of the country. She asked them to take pride in saluting their glorious achievements and exemplary record of service in times of war as well as peace.
