Amritsar, Apr. 29 ( Punjab Post Bureau)- The mega job Fest 2014 held at CKDIMT today proved out to be a huge success. The event was an awaited opportunity for all the participants as they were able to choose their careers and succeeded in being a part of leading companies. More Than 1000 Students from different colleges from all over the region participated in this event to shape their careers. More than 20 leading companiesfrom Noida, Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar namely such as Micro Labs Ltd, Wave Beverages(Coca Cola), NIIT Ltd, Videocon Telecom, HDFC Bank, Birla Sun Life Insurance, Shoppers Stop, Mashpointfrom different sectors such as Pharma, Retail, Marketing, IT, Telecom, FMCG participated in CKD’s First Mega Job Fest to place the young talents all over the region. About 1000 students from different parts of Punjab participated in the event, out of which 200+ students were selected in leading Companies at a package between 2.5 to 3.00 lakh per annum. S. Charanjit Singh Chadha, President CKD said, “We are very happy with the response that we have got from this Mega Job Fest. Mega Job Fest exhibited more than 20 top brands are present under one roof. The students will be able to choose the right career and company, based on the exposure they get. This would go a long way in helping them to have proper careers. Such aggregation of jobs help both the student community as well as recruiters besides reducing the time and cost involved in hiring. He also praised for the endless efforts made by Mr. Paramjit Singh Makkar, the Head Corporate Relations and Placements in organizing this mega event for the college and making it a success, since his joining the Institute. Dr. H.S. Sandhu, Principal, CKDIMT said “The overwhelming response we have received from corporate as well as students for the joint campus placement drive at CKDIMT is an indication of the opportunities and talent that exist in the educational institutions.” “ The Institute not only provides degrees to the students but also decent placements in renowned companies”, he said. The President CKD, S. Charanjit Singh Chadha, Vice President Dr. Santokh Singh, , Hon.Secratary,S. Narinder Singh Khurana, Member CKD S.Inderpreet Singh Director Education Dr. Dharamveer Singh, and Principal, Dr. H.S. Sandhu thanked the Company Officials for giving an opportunity to the students of this region to start their bright Career ahead. The whole event was quite interactive as well as quite informative as it was a great exposure for the students to the corporate culture as quoted by the parents present at the job fare. They all happily left saying that they had taken the right decision for admitting their children in this prestigious Institute because of quality education and assured placements. The President, S. Charanjit Singh Chadha congratulated the staff and the students for their active participation and the event being a great success. The Principal Dr. H.S.
