‘Denim Revisited’- an exhibition organized at BBK DAV College for Women

Amritsar, Jan 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  The students of Bachelor of Design Department of BBK DAV College for Women organized a splendid exhibition –‘Denim Revisited’ in the college premises. This exhibition was a unique and innovative presentation of reusing and recycling the worn out denims in different garments and household articles. During the exhibition, students of Fashion Design Department displayed a stunning collection like skirts, one piece dresses, tops and innovative articles like cushions, rugs, aprons, coasters, wall hangings, umbrella, stole, basket, designer  bags etc., made by using skillful techniques of stitching and ornamenting from the recycled denim. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia appreciated the creativity and hard work of students and the staff and motivated them to keep up such good work in future. Mrs. Mandeep Sokhi, Head, Dr. Lalit Gopal Prashar, Mrs. Shefali Johar and Mrs. Benu Kapoor were also present at the event.
