DAV International School students bring laurels to alma mater

Amritsar, Feb 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  Three students of DAV International School, namely Anmol Singh, Jaipreet Wadhavan and Sehajpreet Singh brought laurels to the school by securing 7 medals and cash reward of 1 lakh rupees in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sports competition organised by Punjab Government.

Talking to the media persons, Principal Anjana Gupta said that in the competition organised on 16th February, students hailing from different schools of Punjab exhibited their caliber. Anmol Singh of X grade received three Bronze medals  for his excellent performance in 50 mts, 100 mts. and 200 mts. He got silver medal for his wonderful performance in 200 relay swimming. He was honoured with a cash award of 51,000 Rs and a certificate.

Jaipreet of X grade was rewarded with two bronze medals, 24,000 Rs and a certificate for his terrific performance in skating. Sehajpreet of XI got Silver in skating along with 15000Rs and a certificate as a reward.

Principal appreciated the commendable efforts of the winners and wished them good luck for their next ventures. The School Chairman, Dr. V P Lakhanpal, Regional Director, Dr. Neelam Kamra and manager, Dr. Rajesh Kumar congratulated the winners for their tremendous performance.
