Amritsar Postal Division organizes Mega Mela

Amritsar, Feb 27 (Punjab Post Bureau)- For promoting the public schemes recently launched by the Government of India, the Amritsar Postal Division has organized a “Mega Mela” on 27.02.2016, under the aegis of Sh. Jethmal Jingar, SSPOs, Amritsar Division, Amritsar, in the premises of Amritsar GPO. The motive of this Mega Mela was to promote the “JAN SURAKSHA SCHEMES” such as Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Beema Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojna, Sukanya Smridhi Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, PLI and other Small Saving Schemes. Ms. Preeti Yadav, IAS was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Sh. Gaurav Garg, IPS and Sh. Gulshan Kumar, Sr. DSO were Guests of Honour at the event. The staff of Amritsar Postal Division, including the GDSBPMs, participated in the Mega Mela enthusiastically. The staff was apprised of various investment-cum-saving schemes and Insurance Schemes launched by the Depratment of Posts. The officials and GDSBPMs who have procured maximum business in various schemes and have done a commendable work in achieving the allotted targets were awarded by the Chief Guest. Sh. Vikas Sharma, ASP (HQ), Amritsar, Sh. Deepak Sharma, Sr. Postmaster, Amritsar and all Inspectors/ASPs were also present on the occasion.

The Chief Guest applauded the efforts put in by Amritsar Postal Division for generating awareness among public about various schemes. She motivated the staff to motivate the people to avail the benefits offered by the Department of Posts under Sukanya Samrishi Yojna, PLI and other Small Saving Schemes as money collected under these schemes is being utilized for the development of the State.
