Two artists Bawa and Sapra exhibits their paintings and interpretation of life at Art Galary

Amritsar, Feb 29 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Two artists Ram Singh Bawa and Harbhajan Singh Sapra exhibited their paintings and interpretation of life. Ram Singh Bawa a product of the College of Art, Delhi uses Acrylic Paints on Canvas, and a Mix of Water Colors on Paper showed his vision of how he sees beauty in everything in life, from paintings of a womans face up close, to his thought of what God would look like, after all he is a creator of the Universe. Ram Singh Bawa acquired his degree in Fine Art in 1962 and has been constantly painting since then, he has to his credit several one man shows and has held two one man shows in Beaverton & Portland, Oregon State United States of America. As a lover of nature and God’s creations, Bawa depeicts human figures in an emotional manner. Bawa did not reveal his age to us, but is aged somewhere above the number eighty, but maintains a youthfoul approach – keenly looking at things and drawing them. Bawa has put up his paintings for sale at the galery at a subsidised price of Rs. 2000 onwards as he wants people to enjoy art, and not worry about the highest price tags.

Sardar Harbhajan Singh Sapra is a philanthropist who is working on documenting the Sikh History and contributes his time, money and energy to service of humanity in Anandpur Sahib. Sapra after selling off his business, and handing over the responsibilities to his two sons in New Delhi, moved bag and baggage with his wife to Anandpur Sahib in 2009. In Anandpur Sahib, Sapra has been training students on Archery, Hockey and is now also a Homeopath Doctor. Harbhajan Singh Sapra 76 years old studied medicine after he turned 70 and got his degree to practice homeopathy. At the exhibition his photographs were showcased and recieved with an overwhelming response by other photographers, artists and visitors. Though some people had a keen interest in acquiring Sapra’s work, he is not selling his work at this Exhibit. Sapra also had his number of books on display, from his translation of the Japji Sahib, to his newest book that he has just finished writing.
