Mountain Terrain Cycling Expedition

Bureau) – Mountain Terrain Cycle Expedition was flagged off today by Brig Sandeep Singh, Commander, Double Victory Brigade from Beas Military Station.   A team of one offr, one JCO and 10 Jawans of 11^th Battalion, The Brigade of the Guards undertook the Expedition from  6 to 24 Mar 2016 from Puh – Manali. The expedition will cover an approximate distance of 400 Kms at hts ranging from 6726 feet to 14931 feet. Primarily an adventure activity, the cycling expedition aimed at instilling a sense of adventure, professional bonding and espirit-de-corps amongst the Jawans. During the 12 days expedition, the ‘Team’ not only visited the local villages and enhanced awareness about the Indian Army but also exhorted the locals to preserve the rich and diverse ecological  system in their immediate environment.
