DAV International School conducts seminar on Early Childhood

Amritsar, Mar. 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) -In order to reinforce the teaching skills of the pre- Primary teachers, a capacity building program was held under the aegis of DAV CAE, New Delhi, at DAV International School. Mrs. Archana Kochhar, Mrs. Gargi Sharma and Mrs. Jyoti Singh Gulati of Police DAV Public School, PAP Campus, Jallandhar, came over as the resource persons for the workshop. More than hundred teachers from DAV International School, GND DAV Public School, Bhikhiwind, MKD DAV Public School, Attari, Police DAV School and DAV Public School participated in the workshop.

The workshop commenced with lamp lighting followed by the floral welcome of the resource persons. Principal Anjana Gupta honoured them with mementos and expressed her gratitude. She, in her welcome address said that early childhood education prepares children not only for school but for life. It is a crucial stage in terms of physical, intellectual, emotional and social development and therefore teachers need to be vigilant and readily available for the young learners. The seminar gave a platform for the teachers to interact, mingle and share their ideas for making teaching learning a better process. They learnt innovative teaching methods and age appropriate activities concept building for children. Teachers were enriched and it was a learning experience for one and all.
