KCET Prof read Paper in International Conference at Hyderabad

Amritsar, March 9 (Dharmender Singh Rataul)- Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology (KCET) Professor Dr. Harkaran Singh read paper on “Dynamical behavior of SIRS epidemic Model with Media Awareness as Control Strategy” in the 17th International Congress on Infectious diseases, held at Hyderabad recently. His paper that highlighted how in today’s era, the spread of diseases is really fast as a large population migrates from one corner to another corner of the world with the readily available transportation facilities was highly applauded.

            KCET Principal Dr.Amarpal Singh said that it was matter of pride for the College that the spread of the communicable diseases through migration was topical and Prof. Harkaran Singh who is Head, Department of Applied Sciences, in the College was chosen for the  “Award for Young Investigator from India and Southeast Asia” during the Conference. The Conference he said was organized by US based “International Society on Infectious disease, Brookline, and he also won a cash price for his work. KCGC honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina also congratulated him for the achievement.
